AESTHETICS Most people like to look their best and good looking gums play their part. Aesthetic problems are when the gum shrinks away, either between teeth (papilla) or below a bridge (gum ridge). The surgery involves grafting soft tissue from the palate, often in combination with other techniques such as bone regeneration or reshaping teeth. Periodontal aesthetics is still in the early stages of development, but with constantly improving end results. |
